About The Guild

Lake Area Fiber Artists is a non-profit organization located based in the Lake of the Ozarks, MO area. Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of the arts of basket-weaving, knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, rug-hooking, and related arts to our members and the general public. We are a member group of the Lake Arts Council.

Meetings: The Guild normally meets on the second Thursday of each month from 11am-2pm in the lower level at Central Bank in Camdenton, MO - 170 US-54, Camdenton MO 65020.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, Central Bank has not re-opened their boardroom for public meetings. Temporarily, the guild is holding its monthly meetings at The Key Gathering Place, 1163 S. Business, MO-5, Camdenton, MO 65020 . Here is a Google maps link to this location:

Becoming a Member

Membership is open to anyone in the Lake of the Ozarks area or nearby cities. Dues are currently set at $12.00 per year and are re-set at the beginning of each fiscal period. The membership year is from March 1 through end of February. You may attend two meetings as a guest before deciding to join. To become a member, print the membership form by double-clicking on the form icon shown at right OR obtain a form at any meeting. Complete the form and attach your check for $12.00 payable to Lake Area Fiber Arts Guild. Forms should be submitted at a meeting to the Membership Coordinator or send an email to lakefiberarts@gmail.com to receive directions on where to mail your form and dues.

Member Communications

Registered members receive a monthly newsletter and minutes from the previous meeting via email. We also maintain a "closed group" Facebook page (only members can join) and publish announcements, photos, fiber-related postings, etc. on our Facebook page. If you are a guild member and want to be added to this Facebook group, go to the following Facebook page and click on "Join" under the cover photo. This will generate a message to an administrator.
