Charity Initiatives

In 2020, guild members knitted or crocheted 238 hats to donate to local charity organizations. These hats were displayed at our October 2020 Fiber Arts Festival, and afterwards donated to several local groups.

Hat Tree Project

--Display handmade hats on Hat Tree at the October 9, 2021 Fiber Arts Festival with subsequent donation to targeted charity groups:

Helping Hands, CADV, Camdenton RIII, School of the Osage, Hurricane Deck School

Chemo Hats

--Volunteer members knit Chemo Hats for donation to patients undergoing cancer treatment at Lake Regional Chemo Center or community members

CADV Comfort Items

--Create comfort items (slippers, wraps, afghans, lap-robes) for donation to the Camden County CADV group (Citizens Against Domestic Violence)

NOTE: All items made for charity donation can be dropped off at Flocks Yarn and Fabric, 1161 N. Business Route 5, Camdenton MO 65020 OR at the monthly guild meeting.
